Browser to PowerPoint

AI PowerPoint maker for a draft you can keep editing

Create a presentation with AI, edit its content and design in SlidesMate, then download a PPTX for PowerPoint. Work in your browser first; choose editable objects or slide images when you export.

Try creation with the trial. Exporting your own PPTX requires a paid plan.

Create and edit in the browser, then hand off

  1. Describe your presentation. Give the AI a topic, audience and intended decision. Review generated facts and replace illustrative numbers with your own evidence.
  2. Edit the draft in SlidesMate. Refine slide text, choose layouts, adjust the theme and add speaker notes before downloading. For an existing brief, use the document-to-presentation workflow.
  3. Choose the handoff format. In the slide editor, open Export and choose PowerPoint (Editable) or PowerPoint (Pixel-perfect). Check the downloaded file in the PowerPoint version your recipient uses.

SlidesMate is a browser application. This workflow downloads a file; it does not install a Microsoft PowerPoint add-in or connect to your Microsoft account.

Editable objects or a picture of each slide?

The two PowerPoint export options in the SlidesMate slide editor
Export choiceWhat you receiveWhen to choose it
PowerPoint (Editable)Text boxes, shapes and tables as PowerPoint objects; included photos remain images. Speaker notes are included when present.A colleague needs to rewrite copy or change table values. Expect to review spacing and fonts after opening.
PowerPoint (Pixel-perfect)A captured slide image on each PPTX slide. Text, tables and charts within that image cannot be edited separately. This path does not export speaker notes. You want the captured browser appearance and do not need to edit individual objects. Check that images and fonts loaded before export.

For a closer look at the tradeoffs, read editable vs. image-based PowerPoint. An image-based slide is not a substitute for selectable text or a reviewed reading order.

Open real PPTX samples before you choose

These existing public samples contain editable objects. Download them to inspect text and tables in your own software. The previews show their slide covers; the files are fictional examples, not customer results or proof of desktop compatibility.

Public sample downloads do not require a paid plan. Downloading your own deck follows the export limits below. See more contexts in the presentation examples gallery.

Fonts, charts and layouts need a final check

  • Fonts: editable export names the theme fonts but does not embed font files. Missing fonts can change wrapping and spacing. Microsoft explains why font availability and embedding matter; SlidesMate does not perform that embedding for you.
  • Charts: the editable exporter does not create native PowerPoint chart objects or linked Excel workbooks. Numeric stats and diagrams can be text and shapes; a chart inside an image remains an image. Build a native chart in PowerPoint if you need editable chart data.
  • Layouts: editable export rebuilds supported layouts on widescreen slides. Browser CSS, gradients and custom styling are not reproduced exactly; gradient backgrounds fall back to a solid theme background. Review dense text, image placement and line breaks.
  • Handoff: check every slide, speaker note and image in the recipient’s software. Review alt text and reading order for accessibility. These samples have not been tested in desktop Microsoft PowerPoint as part of this page’s preparation.

Trial and paid export access

The trial lasts up to 7 days, includes 100 AI credits and caps saved presentations at 5. Trial AI access ends when the time or credits run out. In the slide editor, trial users can download a watermarked PDF preview, but cannot export either PPTX format, clean PDFs or PNG images.

Plus, Pro and Business unlock both PPTX options, clean PDF and image export. A paid entitlement must be active; an expired or non-entitled subscription falls back to trial restrictions. Read the export instructions or compare current plans before paying.
