When you use SlidesMate, we may collect the following information:
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account and presentation data, including encrypted HTTPS connections in production, access controls, input validation, and service-level authentication. No online service can guarantee absolute security. SlidesMate does not sell personal information and does not use presentation content to train its own models. Content sent to third-party providers is handled under those providers' API and data-processing terms.
We retain account information and presentations while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Deleting a presentation removes it from the active application database. Confirming account deletion removes your active profile, presentations, sessions, and collaboration references. Limited records may remain where reasonably necessary for security, billing, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or in service-provider backups and logs until their normal retention periods expire. You can request deletion or ask a retention question at support@slidesmate.com.
We use a limited number of service providers to operate SlidesMate: OpenAI for presentation generation, Unsplash and Pexels for stock images, Stripe for payment processing, Vercel for hosting, Postmark for password-recovery email, and better-auth for authentication. We also store first-party funnel events so we can understand where signup and checkout flows fail; these events contain the page, event name, limited product context, and your account ID when you are signed in. We send presentation content to providers only when needed to deliver a feature you request.
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information. You can delete your account in Settings or contact support@slidesmate.com to make another request. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law permits or requires it. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
SlidesMate and its service providers may process data in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, we rely on the mechanisms made available by the relevant service provider or another lawful basis for the transfer.
SlidesMate is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under the applicable age has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. Educational institutions using SlidesMate with students under 13 must obtain parental consent in compliance with COPPA and equivalent laws.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service, our providers, or legal requirements. We will update the date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, provide an additional notice in the service or by email before a material change takes effect.
For privacy questions, data requests, or general support, contact support@slidesmate.com. Include enough information for us to identify your account and understand the request, but do not email your password or other sensitive credentials.
